Terms of Service
Last updated: August 3, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and quitOS LLC, a Louisiana limited liability company (“QuitOS,” “we,” “us”). They cover the QuitOS mobile apps and quitos.app. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.
Read this part even if you skip the rest.
QuitOS is a self-help tool. It is not medical advice, not a treatment, not a medical device, and not a substitute for care from a doctor, therapist, or counselor. It does not diagnose anything and does not prescribe anything.
Nicotine withdrawal can affect mood, sleep, and concentration, and it can interact with existing medical and mental-health conditions. Talk to a qualified professional before changing how you use nicotine, and before starting any nicotine replacement or medication. Do not use anything in this app as a reason to stop or change a prescription.
QuitOS is not an emergency service. It is not monitored by humans in real time. If you are in crisis or in danger, call 911. In the US you can reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988, and free quitline coaching at 1-800-QUIT-NOW.
1. Who can use QuitOS
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you are under 18 and trying to stop vaping, that is a good thing to be doing — please talk to a parent, a school counselor, or a doctor, and know that 1-800-QUIT-NOW offers free help to teens.
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure.
2. What we provide
QuitOS offers craving-rescue sessions, a quit or taper plan, tracking of your own activity, and — on the Plus tier — an AI coach. We provide the tool. We do not promise a result. Whether you stop vaping depends on far more than an app, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something.
3. Free and Plus
| Tier | What you get |
|---|---|
| Free | A limited number of basic rescue sessions per week (timer, breathing, and a replacement suggestion), your dashboard, daily check-ins, money saved, and the resources screen. No AI. |
| Plus | Unlimited rescues, the AI coach that knows your triggers and history, trigger insights, a personalized quit or taper plan, slip recovery, and smart reminders. |
Billing
- Plus is a recurring subscription billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see your payment details.
- New subscribers get a free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription automatically.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel.
- Cancel through your app store — Apple or Google, not us. We cannot cancel a store subscription on your behalf.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. We can advocate for you, but the decision is theirs.
- Prices can change. We will tell you before a change affects your renewal.
4. The AI coach
The AI coach generates responses automatically. It is designed to stay inside its lane and to send you to a professional or a quitline for anything clinical, but automated systems can be wrong. Use your judgment. Do not treat anything it says as medical guidance, and do not rely on it in an emergency.
5. Your content
What you enter — your triggers, notes, and logs — belongs to you. You give us the limited permission we need to store it, display it back to you, and operate the app. We use it as described in the Privacy Policy and nothing more.
6. What you agree not to do
- Break the law with it, or use it to harm someone
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell any part of it
- Share your account or get around the free-tier limits
- Try to make the AI coach produce harmful, illegal, or medically dangerous output
We may suspend or close accounts that do these things.
7. Our rights
QuitOS, the app, its content, and its design are owned by quitOS LLC and protected by intellectual-property law. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app. They do not give you ownership of anything.
8. Availability
We work hard to keep the rescue flow reliable, because we know when people open it. But we cannot guarantee the app is always available or error-free. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give you notice and a way to export your data.
9. Disclaimers and limits
To the fullest extent the law allows, QuitOS is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent the law allows, quitOS LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty-five US dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
10. Termination
You can stop using QuitOS and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or end your access if you breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — ownership, disclaimers, limits of liability, and governing law — do.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Louisiana, and you and we consent to that jurisdiction.
12. Apple and Google
If you downloaded QuitOS from the App Store: this agreement is between you and quitOS LLC, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or for supporting it, but Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Equivalent terms apply to Google Play.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use QuitOS after that means you accept the new terms.
